Hennessy Cognac is crafted with a strict set of standards defined by the Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde and handed down from generation to generation. However, when it comes to enjoying Cognac, we haven’t followed any rules since 1765. For the third edition in the series, Maison Hennessy is pleased to present the very first creation of Renaud Fillioux de Gironde – 8th generation Master Blender and successor to Master Blender Yann Fillioux. This blend embodies his creativity, imagination and predilection for certain eaux-de-vie, which he would like for both Cognac novices and connoisseurs to take pleasure in discovering.
France- This limited edition release is a bold, well- rounded cognac. Notes of oak and nutmeg with flavors of spice, licorice, and cloves. The finish is spicy and lingers for a bit.
The Hennessy Master Blender’s Selection No 3 Cognac is the long awaited third iteration of this craft series by the Cognac giant. It’s the first blend created by the 8th generation cellar master, Renaud Fillioux de Gironde. Once again a strictly limited edition, it’s an XO blend of 20 unique eaux-de-vie. And by unique, we really mean it. Because these are Cognacs that have not, and will never be used in any other Hennessy blend.
TASTING NOTES FOR hennessy master blend:
Color: The blend displays a light amber color with a golden sheen.
Nose: Certain aromatic tones can be perceived that are fresh and light, akin to those found in sweet pastries. In addition, there is a distinct flavor of toasted hazelnuts that highlights the blend’s unique character.
Palate: On the palate, there is an unmistakable presence of aromas such as soft textured pastries with a hint of praline. The blend is best described as elegant and subtle – an experience of smoothness from start to finish.
