hennessy xo ice limited edition
A gift pack containing a bottle of Hennessy XO and a pair of glasses to share it from. The original ‘extra-old’ Cognac, first bottled in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for family and friends. Darker and much more complex than the VSOP, with appealing leather and tobacco notes and a touch of spice – a great cigar Cognac.
Hennessy XO Ice Limited Edition Cognac
This modern makeover of the original XO created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870 contains a delightful icy white bottle of the Hennessy XO Cognac, a pair of elegant tumblers and a striking presentation box. The Hennessy XO Ice Limited Edition Cognac might have a fresh look, but it’s still the same quality Cognac you expect from this iconic producer. Composed of more than 100 different eaux-de-vie aged between 10 and 70 years, this is a powerful, robust, exquisite delight to taste. The very origins of the age denotation ‘Extra Old’ date back to the House of Hennessy, when Master Blender Maurice coined this English term in 1870. To this day, it stays true to the name; the average age of all the eaux-de-vie in the blend is around 45 years old
The House of Hennessy specializes in distilling their eaux-de-vie without the lees for a smooth, clean palate and know how to utilize humid cellars for a steady maturation. Combined with the qualities of extended maturation, the result here is a Cognac bursting with spice, oak and leather – the hallmarks of a well-aged spirit.
Presentation of the Bottle
The Hennessy XO decanter, with its glass details and curvaceous shape, is still one of the most recognizable Cognacs in the world. It has been reinvented time and time again since 1870, and this limited edition has draped the bottle in an icy white hue complemented by black and gold details. The stunning presentation case also holds two crystal glasses. Unlike anything Hennessy has produced before, the glasses in the set were created by Baccarat designer Thomas Baside.
The concept behind the Hennessy XO Ice Cognac is to challenge consumers to enjoy their Cognac in a different manner – the name hints at trying it over ice in the accompanying glasses. We think it would make a great pairing for fine cigars, or simply enjoyed on its own.
